Early drop-off is available for free for members. XL Sports World’s Multi-Sport Instructional Camp offers kids the opportunity to learn various sports from caring instructors. Peak Gymnastics Academy

Summer camp at Peak Gymnastics Academy features fun-filled, fitness-based experiences for Apex kids ages 5 and older. These camps combine the fundamentals of gymnastics with standard summer camp activities. Campers can enjoy a daily rotation of gymnastics events (bars, beam, floor, vault) and practice basic strength and endurance exercises. Schedules include games, a trampoline, and activities focused on a new theme each week. Summer camps are week-long camps that focus on a different theme. Games, crafts, and team-building activities revolve around that week’s theme, so campers can have a new experience each week they attend camp at Peak Gymnastics Academy. YMCA

YMCA offers amazing summer camps in Apex. Traditional day camps are packed with activities, games, and tons of fun. Kids can spend the day swimming, doing art projects, playing sports, and enjoying group games like Capture the Flag and Gaga Ball. Campers are encouraged to try everything and do their best. All activities are led by a great team of YMCA youth staff and counselors. A strong summer leads to strong kids!

Sun Star Farm School

At Sun Star Farm School, kids can feel like they’ve stepped backward in time, enjoying an unhurried lifestyle where their natural curiosity can thrive. This summer camp focuses on playing and enjoying nature in Apex. Schedules include one-on-one animal time, gardening, crafting, hiking, creek adventures, singing, games, and much more. Sun Star Farm School splits the camps into four age groups so that kids can enjoy age-appropriate activities, stories, projects, and learning opportunities. All ages have their own indoor and outdoor spaces. Heidi Watkins, director of Sun Star Farm School camps, is on the farm at all times and is involved in all aspects of running the camp. Kids can enjoy Goat and Sheep Week, Sprouts Camp, Tinkering School, Reptiles and Critters Week, and many other themes that involve lots of farm animal interaction.

Tinkering School

At Tinkering School, kids can enjoy awesome large-scale building projects and lots of outdoor exploration. During the summer, camps are 95% outdoors. Apex kids ages 9-12 can enjoy fun, engaging summer camps at Tinkering School. Pricing includes unlimited ice water and a popsicle each day of the camp. Kids will benefit from using real-life tools to tackle problems in a unique atmosphere filled with trust and responsibility. Kids can explore with tools, autonomy, and space, building lifelong memories and enriching their minds. 

The ART of S.T.E.M.

2180 N. Salem Street, Suite 102-105, Apex, NC

Camps at The ART of S.T.E.M. focus on kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Full-day camps run for 9 hours, and groups are kept small (10 to 1 ratio) so that all kids have a great experience. This facility uses art to teach STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) to kids through engaging projects used to expose kids to STEM skills. This fun, engaging program was designed (and is run) by educators. Drama is used to build kids’ confidence and creativity. Kids create their own characters, costumes, and sets, and they practice reading fluency as they have fun in Reader’s Theater.
